She went to the front desk to ask for the key. The door was locked & a sign said you needed a key from the front desk. One of my friends really had to use the bathroom at that time so she went downstairs to use the bathroom in the lobby. We booked 2 rooms & at one point both bathrooms were occupied with members of our group taking a shower. The carpet looked dingey and needed a good vacuum. They even lock the front doors to prevent the homeless from coming in. This hotel is in a very sketchy part of Portland.
